Toshiba's headquarters building in Tokyo, Japan, Toshiba (TOSHIBA), is Japan's largest semiconductor manufacturer and the second largest integrated motor manufacturer, and is part of the Mitsui Group. Toshiba, formerly known as Tokyo Shibaura Electric Co., Ltd., was formed in 1939 through the merger of Shibaura Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Tokyo Electric Co., Ltd. It has gone through a long journey of 133 years since its founding in 1875.
