Automotive Grade Embedded Power Chip (System Chip)

Infineon ® embedded power chips are specially designed to meet the needs of mechatronic motor controllers in various applications. Motor control applications require that the chip itself be packaged in a small package and do not require excessive external components. Such applications include window regulators, car sunroofs, wipers, fuel pumps, air conditioning system fans, engine cooling fans, and water pumps.
iMOTION ™ series, mainly for industrial and consumer motor control applications

As the pursuit of higher energy efficiency continues, the use of variable speed drives in the industrial and consumer markets continues to increase. At the same time, the product life cycle is gradually shortening, and each generation of products requires the controller to be able to implement the required control algorithms simply and quickly.

The iMOTION ™ product family provides multiple levels of hardware and software integration. The multi-level of hardware integration refers to the wide span from independent motor controllers to complete inverter systems integrated on SmartIPM. The multi-level of software integration means that Infineon provides both complete turn-key solutions and modules that developers can freely program. In addition, this product uses Motor Control Engine (MCE) technology, which Infineon has proven to perform very well in practice. Adopting a "turn-key" solution based on MCE technology, with powerful MCEwizard and MCEdesigner as auxiliary tools, only a MCE must be configured to the corresponding motor to achieve a variable speed drive.
