HVLED007 is a current mode PFC controller dedicated to isolated high power factor flyback converters operating in CRM mode (ie, quasi-resonant operation). For indoor and outdoor solid state lighting applications, it offers extended temperature range operation down to -40 ° C.

    The main feature of this IC is a special circuit (input current shaper) that enables a high-PF quasi-resonant flyback converter to extract a theoretical sinusoidal input current from the power line, which is different from traditional control.
    Total distortion of input current (THD) below 10% can be achieved at full load and below 20% at 30% load over the entire input voltage range.
    The IC has a control input for driving by a phototransistor's phototransistor to close the isolated control loop for secondary regulation. However, it can also be used to close the primary regulated voltage loop by adding a simple external circuit.
    HVLED007 has protection function and can handle overload, short circuit and over voltage situations.
    The totem pole output stage, with 600 mA power supply and 800 mA sink current, is suitable for large MOSFET drivers. Combined with other features, this device makes it an excellent low-cost solution for SMPS in compliance with EN61000-3-2 to 100 W.
